Ekphrastic Poetry Writing workshop

Ekphrastic poetry, simply put, is writing poetry about the visual arts.

Together, we will discuss the current exhibiting artworks at Flemington DIY, using questions and prompts, both prepared and improvised, to help us creatively write in response to the local art.

After a mix of group discussion and individual writing exercises, we will share our poetry and hear what we all came up with.

In this process, we hope to create understanding of both ourselves and each other, through writing and thinking creatively in new ways stimulated by local arts.
